Alternatively, how about a leisurely boat cruise to Sonning and Henley-On-Thames? Experience the bustling market town of Henley & the Royal Regatta or how about the Henley 80′s Rewind Festival? Henley is a great place to moor up for a couple of nights and provides a great base to explore the surrounding area from. The River Rowing Museum in Henley provides interest for all the family. The parks on the banks of the Thames at Henley provide ample space for children to play, family picnics or dog walking. All amenities are within walking distance from the boat moorings on the river bank.

The beauty of a self drive narrow boat holiday is that you have the freedom to choose where you cruise to.

For a 4 day midweek cruises why not cruise downstream to Marlow? Or in a 7 night holiday you can easily cruise to Royal Windsor and visit Windsor castle and Legoland.

For longer breaks of 10 days, why not cruise and moor up outside Hampton Court Palace and join King Henry VIII for his wedding celebration at Hampton Court Palace (daily at 3.00pm).
