Accommodation

Saloon:

The spacious and light feel of the saloon area is perfect for entertaining. The dinette converts to a further double bed, providing an additional 2 berths if 8 people are staying onboard. Gema has a solid fuel stove in the saloon for warm and cosy evenings onboard.

Galley:

The galley has a kitchen work surface, a full size 4 ring gas hob, grill and oven. There is also an under counter fridge with a freezer box compartment. Cooking utensils and crockery are all provided.

Cabins:

Three cabins with full size double beds and single beds – you can choose how you wish the cabins to be made up.

Bathroom:

The bathroom offers a flush toilet, wash basin and shower. There is also a second WC for your convenience.

Highlights:

Gema is a practical charming narrow boat with a modern and fresh feel, whilst still retaining the quaint charm of an English canal boat. The seating on the front deck allows you to eat outside and enjoy the stunning scenery while on your boating holiday on River Thames. For your entertainment, there is Free unlimited data WiFi , a flat screen TV/DVD player with Amazon Firestick. There are also 240v plug sockets throughout the boat. Central heating & a log fuel burner keep the boat cosy and warm in the cooler months. The River Thames provides easy navigation and is ideal for both first time boaters and experienced boaters alike. Routes and timings are provided for you so that you are aware of journey times and mooring places. The cruise along the Thames offers stunning English countryside with some popular mooring spots such as Henley-On-Thames and Historic Royal Windsor. For the more serious boaters, we can also offer the RYA Inland Waterways Helmsman course which can be added as an optional extra to your holiday.

Pricing Guide

Prices are inclusive of VAT and are for a self drive holiday. The prices include boat insurance and VAT and diesel fuel. Bed linen and towel hire are included in the price. Dogs are welcome (max 2 dogs) at £25.00 per dog. A non-refundable deposit payment of £300 is required to reserve your dates and the balance is due 8 weeks before your holiday start date. There is a locked secure car park on site. This must be booked in advance and is £6 per car per night. Fuel burner packs (logs / coal etc) and other accessories can also be purchased at booking.

Terms & Conditions of Hire:

Hire Times: Your check in is at 12.00pm for a 12.30pm departure*. Please return the boat by 09.00am on the last day of hire. 1 to 2 hour’s tuition is given depending on experience, including going through a lock with an RYA instructor.

You will be asked to supply your route plans in case you require assistance. Please be advised that in the months of June, July and August is can be very busy in Henley due to the Regatta and Henley festivals and moorings will be extremely limited. We advise guests to not moor in Henley during these busy months. We also advise guests with mobility issues to be aware that some moorings on the Thames are not suitable for wheel chairs and embarking and disembarking the boat may be difficult due to the difference in height from the boat and the bank. Please do check with us prior to booking to make sure the holiday is suitable for any mobility needs.

A non-refundable booking deposit of £300 is required to secure a booking. The balance is due 8 weeks prior to the holiday. We advise that you should arrange your own cancellation cover as this is not included in the holiday price. In case of damage or losses to the boat or it’s equipment, fixtures and fittings, we will need to authenticate a credit or debit card prior to your boat hire. No monies will be authorised to be taken provided the boat is returned with no breakages or losses .
