Terms & Conditions of Hire:
Hire Times: Your hire begins at 3.30pm. Check in is at 3.00pm at our office in Selway House Unit 3, Paddock Road, Caversham. After check in, you unload your car at Betterboating, Caversham, Reading for a prompt departure. The boat must be returned by 10.00am on the last day of hire. 1 to 2 hour’s tuition is given depending on experience, including going through a lock with an RYA instructor. You will be asked to watch 3 short videos as part of the handover process.
Please supply your route plans in case you require assistance. Please be advised that in the months of June, July and August it can be very busy in Henley due to the Royal Regatta and Henley festivals and moorings will be extremely limited. We advise guests not to moor in Henley during these busy months. We also advise guests with mobility issues to be aware that some moorings on the Thames are not suitable for wheel chairs and embarking and disembarking the boat may be difficult due to the difference in height from the boat and the bank. Please do check with us prior to booking to make sure the holiday is suitable for any mobility needs.
A non-refundable booking deposit of 20% is required to secure a booking. The balance is due 8 weeks prior to the holiday. We advise that you should arrange your own cancellation cover as this is not included in the holiday price. In case of damage or losses to the boat or it’s equipment, fixtures and fittings, we will need to authenticate a credit or debit card prior to your boat hire. No monies will be authorised to be taken provided the boat is returned with no breakages or losses . Please be advised there are no bow thrusters on this boat.
